What is Pals of Patients (PALS)?

We help patients navigate their healthcare needs with confidence. Our primary focus is to empower patients to take charge of their healthcare by asking the appropriate questions, utilizing helpful resources, and becoming an expert at recognizing when a further need exists to maximize their healthcare experience.

Medical Record Review

Our team of knowledgeable healthcare experts will review medical records to assist with guiding patients to make the best decision for their healthcare. We want you to be well-informed about your health.

Care Management

Care management with PALS may consist of MD appointment/office visit prep, counseling services, patient rights education, appointment management, emergency room advocacy, hospital visits/admission care coordination.

Patient Education

We provide comprehensive patient education, empowering individuals to be their own biggest advocate in navigating their healthcare needs. We want to ensure patients are confident in making decisions about their health and treatment options.

“Pals of Patients (PALS) helps individuals who desire support and assistance while navigating their healthcare needs in a system that often makes it challenging to receive adequate assistance.”

Why we exist.

According to the NIH Time constraints translate in the patient reporting feeling unworthy of the physician’s time, feeling like a burden, feeling rushed, not properly listened to, feeling stressed, not having the opportunity to tell their story, to ask questions, or to broach all issues.

Alarming Statistics

The statistics associated with medical diagnosis, malpractice, and gaslighting are alarming. Diagnostic errors affect 12 million Americans annually, leading to significant morbidity and mortality, with an estimated 40,000-80,000 deaths each year attributed to these errors. Medical malpractice claims frequently involve misdiagnosis, which accounts for 33% of all cases. Moreover, nearly 23% of women report having their concerns dismissed by healthcare providers, highlighting the pervasive issue of medical gaslighting that undermines patient trust and contributes to inadequate care.
